Is trenchless lining better than digging up my yard?
It depends on the pipe. Trenchless lining works when the host pipe still holds its shape and the run is accessible from an access point at each end, and it lets us rehabilitate the line through small access pits instead of a long open trench across the lawn, driveway, or mature root zones. If the pipe is collapsed, badly offset, or crushed flat, lining is not an option and pipe bursting or a traditional open dig is the honest answer. We camera the line first and tell you which category yours falls into before any work starts.
I have an under-slab leak. Can you fix it without ripping up the floor?
Often, yes. Once we locate the leak, the choice is usually between a small targeted access through the slab at the leak point, or a reroute that abandons the failed under-slab section and runs new pipe through walls or the attic so the floor stays intact. Rerouting makes sense when the line is old enough that another failure is likely nearby. If the slab damage is extensive or several sections have failed, replacing the line under the slab may still be the better long-term repair, and we will walk you through the trade-offs.
Should I get a spot repair or a whole-house repipe in PEX or copper?
A spot repair is appropriate when the rest of the system is sound and the failure is isolated, for example a single damaged section from a root intrusion or a shifted joint. A whole-house repipe in PEX or copper makes more sense when the piping is original galvanized steel or aging cast iron and you are seeing repeat leaks, rust-colored water, or falling pressure in multiple fixtures. We inspect the accessible piping and recommend the smaller repair when it will genuinely hold, and a repipe when patching the same system again is just buying time.
