Is hydro-jetting safe for older commercial pipes?
Yes, when the line is inspected first. That is why every job starts with a camera inspection: we look at pipe material, joints, and condition before any water goes in, so we can see cracks, offsets, or heavy corrosion that need repair rather than jetting. Our technicians match the pressure and nozzle to the line, and we handle lines from 2 to 6 inches in diameter. When does a kitchen need jetting instead of grease-trap pumping?
Pumping empties the grease trap itself and is scheduled maintenance for the interceptor. Jetting cleans the drain lines running from your sinks and floor drains to the trap and out to the sewer. If the trap is full or overdue, it needs pumping; if fixtures back up, drain slowly, or smell even with a recently serviced trap, grease has built up in the lines and jetting is what clears it.
