Challenge
A new Morton Building post-frame stall barn in Holly Hill needed full plumbing installed from scratch — a scope that included both practical equestrian fixtures (a horse wash-down stall with hot and cold water) and full human amenities (bathroom, shower, laundry, and kitchenette). The project required a phased approach: rough-in first to get pipes in place before walls and finishes were completed, then a return visit for fixture installation once the space was ready.
Solution
PlumbX executed the project in two phases. In Phase 1, the team installed the complete rough-in plumbing — PEX water lines, PVC drain-waste-vent piping, shut-off valves, a washer/dryer washbox, and a box drain grate and frame for the horse wash station. All piping was correctly sized and routed for the full fixture load before any finishing work was done. In Phase 2, PlumbX returned to complete all fixture installation: two Moen kitchen faucets, an American Standard toilet, a full Moen/American Standard standing shower kit, two laundry/mop sinks, washer/dryer hose connections, and all drain and supply line finish connections. A final inspection confirmed hot and cold water with good pressure at every fixture — horse wash-down stall, bathroom faucet, shower, washer box, and both laundry sinks — with the toilet operating and draining properly.
Results
The stall barn was delivered fully functional with hot and cold water to every fixture. The phased approach kept rough-in work ahead of the building’s finish schedule, preventing any delays to the overall Morton Building construction timeline. Every PlumbX-supplied and installed fixture passed final inspection with no issues.
